eat-for-health

Trying to lose weight too quickly, many people go to starvation. This will result in an unhealthy, unhappy, person, and weight loss that will be difficult to maintain without continuing a highly restrictive diet.

Not Eating is Not Healthy

When you starve yourself, you important vitamins and minerals from yourself. What’s the point in being thin if you feel sick and are putting yourself in very real physical danger? It’s entirely possible to eat and be skinny. Not just that, you can eat a lot and have a good figure.

Starvation Could Lead to Weight Gain

Your eyes are okay and you read me correctly. When you don’t eat for a long time, your body could go into “starvation mode.” Then when you do get around to eating something, your body will hold onto that food for dear life, not knowing when your next meal will be. You’ll lose weight while you are starving, but when you eat, it will more than likely come right back, and just as likely with more than you had to begin with. Not what you were going for, huh?

Are You Happy When You’re Hungry?

I don’t know anyone who is in a good mood when they’re hungry, let alone famished. Letting your blood sugar drop can cause huge mood swings (and ladies, let’s be honest, we have enough of those). I’ve seen this in my family members, and my husband has seen it in me. Why be miserable when you don’t have to? It doesn’t make sense.

Eat to Health

If you eat to health, you’ll be good to go. You’ll be happier, more energetic, and your healthy weight will naturally follow. It’s not worth sacrificing your health to be a size 0. And yes, there is such a thing as being too skinny.
