Taken from the author's thesis, this volume presents a comparative study of lithic assemblages from five sites in the Upper and Middle Thames Valley: Highlands Farm, Berinsfield, Iffley, Wolvercote and Stanton Harcourt. Focusing especially on material from the private collection of Mr R.J. MacRae, the author interprets patterns of stone tool manufacture, the procurement and use of raw materials, stylistic and technological attributes and morphological patterns.And the major colour classes, with values of 22% or higher, are colour codes 6 and 7. In the same way, the Lower Loam. Swanscombe have nine colours with minor values (codes 2. 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, l1, 12 and 13) and two more strongly represented colours (code 6 and 7). .... 30 and 45. All these types are found at Highlands Farm as well. 8 I also nated this feature in some flints I found at _Nlenheim Place.
